Rodney commenced his career in Accountancy in Hamilton in 1980 after completing a Bachelor of Management Studies Degree at Waikato University. He has worked with various Waikato based companies including the largest company in the Waikato, the New Zealand Dairy Group. He was one of their first Accountants to be relocated from the Head Office to the manufacturing site where he was instrumental in establishing accounting and internal control systems for the site operation.

After progressing to the top accounting and finance position in a local company with annual turnover in excess of $10 million, he decided to change careers and become an investment adviser and financial planner. As an Accountant he felt frustrated at not being able to give people comprehensive and well informed investment and financial planning advice.

In 1993 he joined a nationwide investment advisory company and after two years left to gain more experience with an Auckland based financial planning company. In 1996 he established his own financial planning firm, as part of nationwide group of companies.

Rodney is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a member of both the Institute of Financial Advisors (IFA) and the Accountants Society. Rodney has a common sense approach to investing and an investor on his own right for a number of years and understands the feelings and concerns people have when they first start investing. Rodney is highly motivated and has a desire to see his investors do well.
